Ve dnech 20.–24. září 2026 jsme se vydali s žáky osmé a deváté třídy na zájezd do Anglie. Z Ostravy jsme odletěli vstříc pěti dnům plných zážitků, objevování a nových zkušeností.
Londýn nás okamžitě okouzlil svou atmosférou – červené autobusy, typické caby, telefonní budky, ruch ulic a slavné památky. Navštívili jsme Big Ben, Westminster, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, London Eye, City of London a mnoho dalších míst. Nezapomenutelným zážitkem byla také návštěva London Dungeon. Zažili jsme tajemnou a místy opravdu děsivou atmosféru, která symbolizovala temné stránky Londýna.
Poznali jsme také univerzitní město Oxford, Greenwich s nultým poledníkem a přímořské město Brighton, kde jsme navštívili Sea Life aquarium, užili si pohled na moře a nádherné křídové útesy. Každé místo mělo své kouzlo a společně vytvořilo pestrou mozaiku zážitků.
Zájezd byl zároveň skvělou lekcí angličtiny, samostatnosti a finanční gramotnosti. Někteří si poprvé sami nakupovali jídlo, počítali ceny v librách, zkoušeli oblíbené Meal Deals a přemýšleli, co si mohou dovolit koupit. Učili jsme se cestovat metrem, používat Google Maps. Angličtinu jsme si procvičili přímo v reálných situacích a postupně jsme zjišťovali, že i s nejistotou a chybami se dokážeme domluvit. Každé ráno jsme si pochutnávali na tradiční English breakfast, v ulicích ochutnali fish and chips.
Pět dní uteklo neuvěřitelně rychle. Anglie nám ukázala nejen slavné památky, ale také jiný způsob života, kulturu, historii a krásu obyčejných každodenních okamžiků. Byl to zájezd plný smíchu, emocí, tisíců kroků, únavy, zkušeností a společných dobrodružství.

Our Trip to
Our trip to England began with a flight from Ostrava to London. The flight was surprisingly comfortable and enjoyable, and I was lucky enough to have a really good seat. As soon as we arrived in London, we started exploring the city. Even though we had only just got there, we managed to see many of the city’s most beautiful and famous sights. One of the places I enjoyed the most was the London Dungeon, which was both fascinating and very scary. I also really enjoyed the boat trip along the River Thames, as it gave us a nice view of the buildings in London. We also visited Oxford, which was probably my favourite part of the whole trip. I loved walking around the city and seeing its beautiful historic buildings. I enjoyed visiting the Museum of Natural History as well, where I took some pretty pictures along with my friends. We then went to Brighton. I very liked the beautiful view of the sea and the atmosphere of the city. One of my favourite experiences there was visiting the SEA LIFE aquarium with super adorable turtles! Getting around London was certainly an experience itself, too… The Underground was often extremely crowded, but it was also very efficient and fast, so that was great. I also really liked the meal deals in England, because you could get a sandwich, a snack and a drink together for a good price. However, our trip eventually came to an end. We flew from London to Katowice, and from there we took a bus back to Kelč. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I really enjoyed the time, since it always has been my dream to visit England. Thank you so much to the teachers for organising the whole trip, and that they were there with us. ♡
